Event Management

The process of arranging, planning, and carrying out different kinds of events is known as event management. It entails organizing and managing all of the crucial components of an event, such as the budget, planning, venue selection, logistics, marketing, staffing, and overall production of the event. It provides a wide range of abilities that includes marketing, project management, planning, coordination, interaction, innovation, and problem-solving.

Valorant LAN Tournament

LAN events offer a distinctive setting where participants may communicate with one another, develop strategy, and compete under pressure. LAN tournaments can help build and strengthen a gaming community. By organizing such an event, you provide a platform for players, fans, and enthusiasts to come together, interact, and share their passion for the game. This can lead to increased engagement, loyalty, and a sense of belonging within the community. You can establish relationships with players, teams, sponsors, influencers, and other organizers, which can lead to future collaborations, partnerships, or business opportunities.

Planning and executing an event requires teamwork, organizational skills, problem-solving, and communication abilities. We had selected the first 16 teams for playing the tournament. It has divided into a 2 day 2 group match cross which would end with a finalist from Group A and other from Group B. The opposing team captains call for heads or tails, whoever won the toss got the veto(elimate a map) pick and the side they wanted. Valorant is a team basedfirst-person tactical shooter with precise gunplay and abilities. Whoever can form a strategy to outplay their enemy using the hero ability kit and skills wins the round. The game mode we hosted lasted for first to 13 rounds win or in case of over time, do or die. Managing the time slots with other technical failures was very challenging and yet the event was a success. We were apraised by both our Coordinators as well as contenstants for organizing such a wonderful event.

CESA Technical Event

Under the CESA Committee, I managed few more events. These events were totally technical which included creating timelines, setting objectives, and determining the necessary resources. Events often require careful budgeting to allocate resources effectively. Event management teaches individuals how to create budgets, track expenses, negotiate contracts, and manage finances to ensure profitability or cost-effectiveness.

It covered considerations such as location, capacity, accessibility, facilities, and technical requirements. Managing these events emphasized teamwork, leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse group of individuals.
